On Tuesday, we celebrated my birthday in a calm fashion considering we went back to school on Wednesday. We had a lovely lunch at the Mongolian and then had a lovely walk in the park near our home.

The Saturday Update
As expected, after just three days back at work, it feels like we were never off... that said, we did have a lovely end to the holidays with Easter brunch with Nico's family, my birthday and a quiet couple of days before the return to chaos.
Easter brunch and catching up with Nico's family for the first time since Christmas was nice in itself, but the highlight of last Sunday for me was seeing the venue for our wedding for the first time ever and revisiting the church for the first time since we got engaged and decided to marry there. It was very emotional and I love both settings. The reception venue is by a watermill on a beautiful lake and I can't wait to get some wonderful photographs there on the big day. It made it that bit more real again!
I was spoilt as usual for my birthday. Nico bought me a globe. I have always wanted one and amazingly, he remembers these things and got me a lovely, colourful, light up globe. There'll be pictures soon. I also got some lovely jewellery, a pamper kit, lots of money and I'm very much looking forward to seeing Michael Buble in concert this Summer! Something else to look forward to!! Nico took me for a lovely lunch and walk in the park and all in all, we had a wonderful day.
Work has been the same as ever. The kids were energetic after all that time off, especially year nine who I hadn't seen for almost six weeks as they had work experience too. It was great to get back into a routine though. With the days getting lighter, the cycle to school is becoming more of a pleasure than a chore again and I'm feeling very positive all round at the moment.
On Friday I had lunch with the lovely Loreto, it was great to catch up and she also gave me her photos from the hen night so I will be posting about that next week. I can't believe it was only two weeks ago!!
Tonight we are having a BBQ for my birthday with some friends. So today is all about gardening and cleaning and cooking - very domestic, I know! Then we'll chill out before a full week back at work. Have a good one!

Easter
It was nice to tone it down this year. Next year I plan to paint some eggs though - a tradition I haven't done before!

Easter eggs
I was totally addicted to this project over the Easter weekend. I caught an introductory snippet on channel four while I was in the UK last week and for once, it was something I could pick up on the internet over here. It was amazing seeing a gosling hatch live! It was like big brother but waaaay cuter!

28 things to do before my 28th birthday
Today I turn 28. Over on the right there you can see a list of 28 things I have achieved this year.
For those of you who have been paying attention - you will notice that it has changed quite a bit over this last month. This was partly as I realised some of the things that went onto that list last year just weren't going to get done in time and also as other things happened that I felt should have been on the list.
I really enjoyed challenging myself and trying new things this year. However, with some solid central goals and lots happening anyway this year, I'm not going to have a 29 things list.

April Goals
I'm still loving this monthly goal setting experience although one is clearly falling by the wayside. I've set myself the unachieved goal again this month and am hoping that when the warm weather finally arrives and my running program finally gets off the ground, I'll finally achieve it - in time for the dress fitting!
