Crossstitch

 

One of my main craft goals this year was to finally complete this crossstitch which I had started before Joshua was born!

With daily sewing since 1st January, I finally finished it in June and framed and hung it this week.

I'm so happy with it. The colours are so bright and happy and the details are fantastic. It's the biggest crossstitch I've ever done and it will be the last one for a while but I really enjoyed it.

 Did a quick little Mollie Makes project today. It was easy, fun and effective. I love the style and the message. I could be tempted to try more of these.

Latest Crossstitch

Here's the latest product of a good Autumn holiday.  Hunka Munka from Beatrix Potter to go with Peter, Benjamin and Jemima.  Again, I loved watching this little character come to life on the canvas.

Latest Cross Stich

When I first moved to Bremen, I went a little crazy with the cross stitch projects.  I had stocked up a few years before in the Lakes and never gotten around to doing them.  Unfortunately there is too much of a good thing and I was a little put off for a while.  It was only when I got into knitting and was talking to my Mum about different craft projects that I was inspired to look for a classic to get my enthusiasm going again.  Having done a few Beatrix Potter characters, I decided to go for the holy grail and do Peter Rabbit.  Here he is...

I love it!  I think he looks great and he fits really well with Benjamin Bunny that I did last year:

That's it for another little while though.  I'm looking at a new knitting project in the meantime, more on that later.
