The Saturday Update

Well, after feeling a bit down last weekend, May got off to a much better start.

We had a bank holiday Monday, just chilling out as a family with good behaviour all round. I even went for my first jog since Joshua was born.

From Tuesday to Friday, I got into the routine of taking Isabella to nursery on the bike and then steadily getting jobs done through the day.

Joshua is up to three meals a day, I'm eating better and drinking more water, the exercise is doing me good.

From my fitness course, we set up a Whatsapp group and it feels good to be setting up more links with other mums. One good thing to come from this is baby swimming. Joshua and I went yesterday and he loved it! It was exhausting but fun.

Yesterday afternoon we drove four hours to Arnstadt - home of Johann Sebastian Bach - for our friends' wedding today. Looking forward to helping them celebrate.

Lately I can't get this song out of my head:

Children's Activities

My children now officially have busier social lives than I do!

Last week I took Isabella to the children's reading at the library. She loved it and I find that she's nicer at home when she's busier.

She also went to the children's theater at the weekend and next week she has a picture book cinema, a playdate and a trip to the children's farm coming up.

Joshua starts swimming this week and will be making friends with my post-natal fitness course friends' babies next week!

I love this stage with the kiddos, being more social and being a mum!

Make it Monday - May Birthday Cards

I mixed it up a bit this month and made the most of some of my Mollie Makes papers. I love the Spring theme - it feels nice and fresh for the new month and new start.

It was also easy to make a card for my uncle that didn't feel too girly.

I was taken right back to arts and crafts at school but I think the results look good. I'd love to get a card like this. Now to work on some gifts!
