I thought I'd get started on my list nice and early this year and crossed the first achievement off on my birthday. As a birthday treat, Nico cooked me a delicious lasagne, we opened a bottle of my favourite wine and put on Casablanca. My Dad bought my the DVD for Christmas and I had been saving it especially for this occasion.
The same as last year with Gone with the Wind, I wanted to get another classic film on my list. Casablanca is certainly that. I do like watching black and white films although I have to admit, the acting is a little wooden in parts, but you can't take away from what a great romance it is. I also love the fact that so many famous quotes come from the film and I never knew that. (Here's looking at you kid, play it again Sam...)
Of course, I don't have to have the classics on my list to watch them, I also recently watched Reservoir Dogs for the first time and Tarantino was rescued in my eyes as I really didn't like Pulp Fiction. I'm now pondering what to watch next...
