On Saturday we visited the Kaiserpfalz Museum in the morning. It was interesting to learn more about the history of the Kaisers and some of the local fairytales.
In the afternoon, we headed up to one of the peaks around Goslar in search of a tower. The maps certainly weren't the best - we haven't a clue how we got to the tower according to the map but we got there and it was worth it. We toasted our success with a Schirker Feuerstein each.
It was great training for Sundays walk and I learned what an oak leave looks like! The views and the seasonal colours were amazing and we were lucky to have the great weather we had - I was hiking in t-shirts or vest tops!
