Today is the first Sunday of Avent. I learnt about this in primary school as it was a catholic tradition but here in Germany it's not religious. Advent starts four Sundays before Christmas and it's when people start decorating so in true German style we have started with the decorations. Here's the advent wreath which we will be lighting tonight and we'll also be putting out the other decorations. The tree will be coming next week...
